What is the ruling on seeking assistance from a healer's familiar spirit to diagnose a patient's illness, and what is the ruling on visiting such healers?

Seeking the aid of jinn in ruqyah, whether a qareen (companion jinn) or otherwise, and asking them about the type of illness or magic, is polytheism (shirk) with Allah and an unlawful act. Legitimate ruqyah is performed with Surat Al-Fatihah, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Mu'awwidhatayn (Al-Falaq and An-Nas), Ayah Al-Kursy, and the established prophetic supplications. It is obligatory to repent from seeking the aid of jinn and to limit oneself to the legitimate ruqyah.
