What is the meaning of the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "Indeed, the best soldiers on earth are the soldiers of Egypt"? And does it contradict the fact that the origin of the Jews who believed with Moses, peace be upon him, was from Egypt, or with the Egyptian army's contentment with liberating Sinai in 1973 without fighting for Jerusalem?

The aforementioned hadith (definition) is part of a sermon by Amr ibn al-'As to the people of Egypt, revolving around the virtue of the soldiers of Egypt and that they are the best soldiers on Earth, because they are in a state of ribat (guarding the frontiers) until the Day of Judgment. This hadith is very weak due to defects in its chain of transmission (sanad). One of its narrators, "Abdullah ibn Lahi'ah," is weak in hadith, and another, "Al-Aswad ibn Malik," has no known biography. "Buhair ibn Dhakhir" has no mention of disparagement or commendation. Nevertheless, all Muslim armies possess great good, and everyone who fights so that the word of Allah is supreme is in the path of Allah. It is not permissible to issue general rulings on the armies of specific countries without sound evidence.
