What is the relationship between the Almighty's saying: {Indeed, it is We who sent down the Dhikr and indeed, We will be its guardian} [Al-Hijr: 9], and abrogation (naskh) in the Noble Quran?

The relationship between verse 106 of Surah (definition) Al-Baqarah and abrogation (naskh) stems from the perceived contradiction between it and God's promise to preserve the Qur'an. However, this is not the case. Abrogation does not contradict the preservation of the Qur'an, because Allah promised to preserve the Qur'an, but He did not promise to preserve the abrogated (mansookh). Rather, Allah Almighty mentioned that He abrogates some verses: "Whatever a verse We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?" (Al-Baqarah: 106).
