What is the ruling on placing Qurans and religious books in a place where people's feet are opposite to them, and what is the ruling on placing books of Islamic law that contain Quranic verses on the ground or in a school bag near the feet?

Mushafs (copies of the Qur’an) must be kept in befitting places. There is no specific requirement for their height; the important thing is that they are not placed in an unclean spot or directly on the ground.

It is forbidden to stretch one's legs towards a Mushaf if it is at the same level. However, there is no harm if it is elevated above them.

Other religious books, such as Islamic education textbooks and similar materials, should be protected from disrespect and elevated from the ground when studying them, out of respect for them and to magnify the symbols of Allah. If it is not possible to elevate them, placing them on a mat or cushion is not considered an act of disrespect.
