Is it permissible for a Muslim player to prostrate in gratitude to Allah when scoring a goal while in Western countries?

Scoring a goal in football matches is not considered a legitimate blessing that warrants prostration of thankfulness (sujud shukr), given the nature of these matches, which are predominantly playful and may involve forbidden elements. It has not been narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) or his companions performed sujud shukr in their competitions, despite there being winners. Sheikh Salih al-Fawzan clarified that sujud shukr is performed upon the renewal of a blessing or the repelling of an affliction, and playing football is not considered a blessing that necessitates prostration.
