Every time I look at something, I afflict it with the evil eye, even though I say "Barakallah"?

Whoever fears being afflicted by the evil eye should lower his gaze. If he sees something that pleases him, he should pray for blessings and say: "Masha Allah, la quwwata illa billah" (What Allah wills, there is no power except with Allah). This is based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "If one of you sees something in himself or his brother that pleases him, let him pray for blessings, for indeed the evil eye is real." And whoever fears harming another should say that. Among what repels the affliction of the evil eye is saying: "Masha Allah, la quwwata illa billah."
