What is the ruling on acting upon weak hadiths concerning meritorious deeds, such as adhkar, especially those that Sheikh Al-Albani declared weak?

Scholars have agreed on the permissibility of acting upon a weak Hadith concerning the virtues of deeds, but not regarding the lawful and the unlawful, provided that it is not extremely weak, that it falls under a general principle, and that its sunnah status is not believed solely based on that Hadith. Furthermore, the rulings of the early scholars concerning authentication and weakening are more authoritative due to their extensive knowledge.
