Does the wife, and her children, deserve financial support after leaving the marital home and taking the children with her?

A disobedient wife (nashiz) is not entitled to maintenance, because disobedience occurs when she leaves her husband's house without his permission, unless it is to seek her rights from a judge, or to work if the husband is unable to provide for her maintenance, or to seek a religious ruling (fatwa) if the husband is not a jurist and does not seek one for her. As for the children, their maintenance is obligatory upon the affluent father as long as they are in need, and the mother's disobedience does not affect their maintenance.
