Will Allah accept the repentance of one who was disobedient to their parents, especially after having physically assaulted their mother, and subsequently felt remorse and sought forgiveness?
Striking, insulting, and raising one’s voice at one’s mother are among the gravest sins and destructive acts. Allah has forbidden even saying "uff" to parents, so how much more so striking and insulting them? Righteousness towards parents is among the greatest acts of closeness to Allah, and disobedience to them is among the greatest abominations. Allah has linked kindness to them with His worship.
Whoever commits such acts must offer sincere repentance to Allah, for Allah accepts the repentance of a servant no matter how great their sin, as long as they have not reached the gurgling of death. He extends His hand by night and by day to accept the repentance of the wrongdoer.
