Is taking up sports as a profession for earning a livelihood, and becoming engrossed in it, consistent with Islamic Sharia and its objectives that encourage utilizing time for what is beneficial and for the development of the earth?

"We have previously clarified the Shariah guidelines for the permissibility of working in the field of sports, and that a Muslim should refrain from earning a living through it because it is considered a lowly earning, as evidenced by the Hadith (definition): 'The earning of a cupper is vile.' Nevertheless, practicing sports in accordance with Shariah guidelines is beneficial and does not contradict the objectives of Islamic legislation."
