Does the feeling of weeping upon remembering the Prophet (peace be upon him) and thinking that if he were present, he would have eased matters of religion and obedience, contradict Islamic law and Tawhid (monotheism)?

Weeping when remembering the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, or when reading his biography, due to longing for him and love of him, is not forbidden. Rather, it is a sign of strong faith and an indication that the weeping person's destiny is Paradise, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A person will be with whom he loves." The sign of loving Allah and His Messenger is following what the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, brought, as Allah Almighty said: "Say, [O Muhammad], 'If you should love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.'" As for wishing for the presence of the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, today, it is not necessary for adhering to the religion. Adherence to the religion is achieved by striving against one's self and following the lawful commands, as Allah Almighty said: "And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good." Wishing for his presence, peace and blessings be upon him, today is considered wishing for the impossible, both religiously and rationally.
