The answer

The Nusayris (Alawites), followers of Muhammad ibn Nusayr, have among their most important principles: allegiance to Ali, the infallibility of the imams, taqiyya (dissimulation), and the science of the inner meaning (ilm al-batin). They believe in a triune divinity: Ali (the meaning and reality of divinity), Muhammad (the name and veil), and Salman (the gate). They hold that Ali is the Lord of the Worlds, and the Quran originates from him. He is the one who sent every prophet and manifested with every messenger in the form of a successor. Their societal layers range from educated individuals who are unconvinced, to steadfast elders and leaders, and ordinary people who are not guided. It is not permissible to marry them or eat their slaughtered meat, as they do not possess a divine scripture, unless the woman repents and becomes righteous.
