How is the price of land and a building, sold by heirs, to be distributed, after the father divided it among them unequally during his lifetime and each of them paid a sum, knowing that the land is still registered in the father's name, and is the price to be distributed equally as inheritance or according to the area of each section?

A father must be just between his children in giving, such that he gives the male the share of two females. If the father favored one of his children and then died, the heirs must establish justice and distribute the inheritance as Allah has commanded. If the dispute is not resolved amicably, then recourse must be sought through the Sharia court.
