What is the way to get rid of the intense fear of becoming a da'iyah (Islamic caller/preacher), the constant preoccupation with da'wah (Islamic propagation) in a way that overwhelms other aspects of life, and the feeling of weakness when not engaged in it?
This feeling will disappear through eagerness for religious knowledge that does not contradict Da‘wah (preaching/calling to Islam); rather, it is a foundation for its success. Calling to Allah is one of the greatest deeds, and for it to bear fruit, its etiquettes must be observed, and wisdom and good counsel must be followed. Engaging in Da‘wah does not mean abandoning smiles and kindness; the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to smile. One must also learn the etiquettes of enjoining good and forbidding evil and seek Allah’s help.
