The question

Is abandoning one's current high-paying job considered a sin and a failure to uphold family responsibilities, despite the motivation for leaving being to please Allah and distance oneself from the ambiguities, financial corruption, and moral decay present in it, and to transition to another job with a lower salary but characterized by integrity and non-alliance with corrupt individuals?

The answer

Your act of turning away from evil and forsaking the world in pursuit of what is with Allah is among the best of deeds, and you will have reward and recompense for your good intention, because "whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, advised piety and moderation in seeking sustenance, and not to be impatient in its attainment, indicating that what is lawful is better than what is unlawful. The wife should be a support for her husband in this regard.
