What is the ruling on one who intentionally commits sins in order to seek God's forgiveness?

It is impermissible to plan for a sin with the intention of repenting afterwards. Whoever truly knows Allah fears Him, loves Him, and does not disobey Him; rather, they hasten to that which pleases Him. Furthermore, one who does this is not guaranteed to be granted enough time to seek forgiveness and repent. Allah Almighty says: {O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims} [Aal-Imran:102], and He says: {And return [in repentance] to your Lord and submit to Him before the punishment comes upon you; then you will not be helped} [Az-Zumar:54]. The true meaning of fearing Allah (taqwa (definition)) is that He is obeyed and not disobeyed, remembered and not forgotten, and thanked and not disbelieved in. This is a command to prepare for death upon Islam and to persevere in obedience and righteousness until death.
