Does the marriage contract become void if the husband curses God while angry, knowing that he has been married for 18 years and has children, and is it permissible for him to adopt the view of those who do not annul the contract in this case, and is it valid to renew the contract with only two witnesses and without a guardian?

Reviling Allah is an act of disbelief that expels one from the Muslim community. Therefore, whoever reviles Allah while being accountable has apostatized from Islam.

If the husband apostatized and repented before marriage, his marriage contract is valid. However, if the marriage contract was concluded before his repentance, then his contract is void.

If one of the spouses apostatizes after the marriage contract and before consummation, the marriage is dissolved according to the majority of scholars, and the wife is not permissible for him except with a new contract after his repentance.

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah held the view that the marriage remains valid and does not require a new contract if the apostate repents and returns to Islam.

There is no harm in acting upon one of the differing opinions among scholars if a person is reassured of the validity of that opinion.

Renewing the marriage contract, according to the majority of scholars, is not valid except through the guardian and with the presence of two witnesses.
