Is the wife's right limited to food, drink, and shelter, or does it include providing money for her personal needs and luxuries?

The husband is obligated to provide for his wife equitably, which means providing sufficient sustenance according to the circumstances of both spouses. The wife is not required to spend from her own money on the household unless she does so willingly. Clothing is part of the obligatory provision, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, their right upon you is that you treat them well in their clothing and food."
