Is there a prior story between the delegation of Banu Al-Harith ibn Ka'b and the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, before the delegation of Hamlan, that led to the Prophet's statement to them: "You are the ones who, when rebuked, press forward"?

The arrival of the delegation of Banu al-Harith ibn Ka'b from Najran to Medina was delayed. After the conquest of Mecca, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent Khalid ibn al-Walid to them in Rabi' al-Awwal of the tenth year of the Hijra to invite them to Islam for three days before engaging in battle. So, they embraced Islam. Khalid stayed among them to teach them, and then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked them to send a delegation representing them, and the aforementioned dialogue in the question took place between them. He appointed Qays ibn al-Husayn over them, then they returned in late Shawwal. Afterwards, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent Amr ibn Hazm to them to instruct them in the religion, teach them the Sunnah, and collect zakat from them.
