Is the reward for reciting the Quran equal to the reward for listening to it?

Reading the Qur'an is better than listening to it, even though both have great virtue. Reading was more prevalent in the practice of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, his companions, and the early generations (Salaf). This is indicated by his, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied tenfold." And his saying: "Whoever listens to a verse from the Book of Allah, a multiplied good deed will be written for him; and whoever recites it, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection."
