Are the deceased sister's siblings entitled to claim money that their deceased sister took from their deceased mother from the sister's children as inheritance?
If your mother's debt to your deceased sister is proven and the sister left an inheritance, the debt must be paid from the inheritance before its division. You may demand that her children pay it so it can be divided among you. However, if the sister did not leave an inheritance, her children are not obligated to pay the debt, because the debt of the deceased is not incumbent upon the heirs to pay except from the deceased's estate. In the event that the heirs do not pay the debt, it should be waived to absolve the deceased sister, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The soul of a believer is tied to his debt until it is paid off."
