Is it permissible to pray for Allah to grant one all levels of Paradise, from the lowest to the highest?
Source: FtawySummarized from the full answer at Ftawy · imported Sep 2, 2026
The Prophet exhorted us to ask Allah for al-Firdaws, which is the highest and noblest of the Gardens, and this does not necessitate asking for all degrees of Paradise. It has been established that "al-Wasilah" is the highest degree in Paradise, and none shall attain it except Prophet Muhammad, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him. Therefore, it is legislated for a Muslim to ask for al-Firdaws al-A'la (the Highest Firdaws) and to strive for piety and righteous deeds to reach it, because whoever dwells in the highest part of Paradise will not miss any delights found in lower degrees.
