How can a mentor be found and pedagogy integrated into the curricula of Sharia education to address educational illiteracy, and what is the benefit of knowledge without pedagogy, and how can we be mentors in light of the family's pedagogical bankruptcy, and is pedagogy a standalone science or an understanding derived from the people of knowledge, and how did the Salaf raise their children?

A separation has occurred between knowledge and action, and between cognition and upbringing, for many people. They have thus come to believe that upbringing is a cognitive, theoretical issue based on stuffing children with information, and they have interpreted religious texts through a cognitive, intellectual lens, neglecting the practical, educational aspect. The verse: (It is only those who have knowledge among His servants that fear Allah) indicates that everyone who fears Allah is knowledgeable, not that every knowledgeable person fears Allah. The verse: (Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?") is interpreted in light of what precedes it, and that those who know are the devout, the fearful, the hopeful. The Salaf (pious predecessors) did not apply the term "fiqh" (understanding) except to knowledge accompanied by action. Divine upbringing is achieved through one's state, not one's words. A righteous, divinely guided role model educates through their deeds before their words. Discipline is like sowing seeds, and the disciplinarian is like the earth, while the righteousness of children comes from Allah. To achieve this, preachers and teachers must be made aware of the realities of upbringing, Muslims must be made aware of the means of divine upbringing, and educational institutions must be established and divinely guided disciplinarians must be qualified.
