The Holy Quran is the greatest proof of the truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), for it is his eternal miracle by which he challenged both humankind and jinn. Many textual and rational proofs have been cited for this, including:

Textual Proofs: The Quran's challenge to humankind and jinn to produce a text like it, and their inability to do so, as stated in His Almighty's saying: "Say, 'If mankind and jinn were to gather together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they were to aid one another.'" (Al-Isra: 88). The saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "There was no prophet among the prophets but was given what was similar to what mankind believed in. What I was given was a revelation Allah revealed to me, so I hope that I will have the most followers on the Day of Resurrection."

2. Rational Proofs: The Quran was revealed to an unlettered Prophet who had not read previous scriptures, yet he spoke of past and future events that materialized as he foretold. The inability of the eloquent and articulate Arabs at the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and thereafter to produce even a single surah like it, despite their large numbers and intense enmity. This indicates that it is not human speech. The Quran encompassed sciences that were unknown at the time, and disclosed unseen information whose truthfulness was revealed, and it does not weary the ear despite its repetition. The Quran is a lasting sign throughout the ages, whereas most of the miracles of previous prophets have concluded.

These proofs establish that the Quran is from Allah, and therefore, Muhammad (peace be upon him) is truly the Messenger of Allah, and his truthfulness is beyond doubt.
