Is it permissible to attend a wedding that includes musical instruments and vulgar and debased songs, without the presence of an organ or oud, under the pretext that this reduces the sin?

Music is forbidden, and it is not permissible to listen to it. Therefore, it is not permissible to attend a wedding or any other occasion where music is played, unless the attendee will change this evil. The prohibition of music is not limited to the 'oud and organ; rather, it includes everything that is played, except for the daff (tambourine) with its Sharia-compliant controls.
