What is the ruling on a wife refusing intercourse due to an exhaustion that afflicts her from her husband's excessive obesity?

A wife must seek her husband's contentment in matters that do not displease Allah. This includes responding to his request for intimacy, unless there is a legitimate religious impediment such as menstruation, post-natal bleeding (nifas), or severe illness that would harm her. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If a woman spends the night deserting her husband's bed, the angels curse her till she returns to bed." It is not permissible for a woman to refuse intimacy with her husband due to his excessive weight. If she is harmed, she may request an adjustment to the position and manner of intercourse to alleviate the harm.
