What is the ruling on the the aforementioned supplication for seeking a job, and is it considered a specification for a particular matter?
There is no objection to a servant asking his Lord to provide him with something specific, but it is better for him to be high-spirited and hope for more from Allah than he can imagine, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of you makes a wish, let him ask for a great deal, for he is asking his Lord." The aforementioned supplication does not contradict belief, but its wording contains linguistic errors. Supplicating in colloquial Arabic is permissible and does no harm, even during prayer according to the most authoritative opinion, but it is better to adhere to classical Arabic and supplications that are authentically reported.
