Why did God permit four wives, while instilling in women jealousy and attachment to men, which might cause them suffering when others share their husband, especially if the man is incapable of being just between them?

A Muslim must submit to the rulings of Allah, even if they do not comprehend the wisdom behind them. The permissibility for a man to marry up to four women is a definitive divine ruling upon which the Ummah has reached a consensus. Allah has legislated that which brings good to His servants. Polygyny, despite the possibility of some minor drawbacks, has great and numerous benefits, including combating spinsterhood, caring for orphans and women, and protecting society from fornication. The Sharia (definition) does not come to conform to people's desires but to reform them and test their faith. It is not correct to use the injustice of some husbands as evidence to condemn polygyny; rather, a husband should be guided to treat his wife kindly, whether he has one or more.
