What is the ruling on a woman showing parts of her body, such as the upper chest, the collarbone, or a portion of her back when raising and moving her hands, in front of her male mahrams? And does the common practice of uncovering these areas permit their display?

It is permissible for a woman to uncover the extremities that commonly appear in front of her mahrams, such as the head, neck, hands, and feet. This aligns with the Madhhab of the Malikis and Hanbalis, and one opinion among the Shafi'is. It is forbidden for her to uncover anything other than these limbs in front of them. If the clothes reveal only what has been mentioned, then there is no harm in wearing them in front of mahrams. However, if anything else is revealed, it is not permissible to wear them in their presence, and she must wear clothes that cover what must be covered.
