Is there any report from the Prophet (peace be upon him) or the Salaf regarding the obligation to burn any paper on which the name of Allah is written?

Papers containing the names of Allah Almighty must be kept in a suitable place, or disposed of in a way that does not desecrate them, such as burning or burying them in a pure place. The permissibility of burning has been established by the action of Uthman ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with him, when he ordered the burning of whatever was not the official Mushaf (definition) (copy of the Qur'an), and the Companions approved his action. Al-Nawawi pointed out that burning a paper that contains the ذكر (remembrance/name) of Allah Almighty for a good reason is permissible, as Kab ibn Malik did when he burned a book that contained the name of Allah. The goal is to avoid desecrating these papers, and burning is one way to achieve that.
