Does intercession not include one who has committed an invalidating act, since he will never enter Paradise?

Everyone from this Ummah who dies upon Tawhid (definition) (monotheism) is hoped to be included in the intercession of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, due to his saying: "Every prophet has a supplication that is answered, and every prophet hastened his supplication. And verily, I have reserved my supplication as intercession for my Ummah until the Day of Resurrection. It shall reach, Allah willing, whoever dies from my Ummah without associating anything with Allah." This indicates that whoever is involved in polytheism will not attain intercession.
