The answer

It has not been reported from the noble Companions that any of them prayed the mentioned number or more. However, many of them strived in worship, such as Abu Darda and Abdullah ibn Amr. Uthman used to complete the Qur'an in two rak'ahs, and Ibn Umar would sleep only a little after seeing the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in a dream. Ali ibn Abi Talib described the Prophet's Companions as waking up in the morning pale and dusty, with calluses between their eyes resembling goats' knees due to prolonged prostration.
