The answer

The righteous deeds beloved by Allah are the fulfillment of His commands and the avoidance of His prohibitions. The most beloved of these are performing the obligatory duties and abstaining from the forbidden, as stated in the Qudsi: "My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have obligated upon him." Some deeds are preferred over others, such as "prayer on time," "filial piety towards parents," "Jihad in the way of Allah," "faith in Allah and His Messenger," and "an accepted Hajj." The differing preferences for deeds in the Hadiths are attributed to the different questioners and their needs. Faith in Allah and His Messenger is superior to all those deeds, and the greatest acts of worship are the five pillars of Islam.
