What is one to do if they avoid the haram, but cannot find the halal in love?

Congratulations on abstaining from the unlawful, and glad tidings of Allah's facilitation of legitimate desires for whoever abandons prohibitions, based on the hadith (definition): "Whoever seeks abstinence, Allah will make him abstinent; and whoever seeks self-sufficiency, Allah will make him self-sufficient," and verses from Surat An-Nur and At-Talaq (definition). It is recommended to supplicate frequently for a righteous spouse and to exert legitimate efforts for marriage, such as offering oneself through a Mahram (definition) to someone whose religiosity and character are approved.
