What is the ruling on playing a fighting game that contains immodestly dressed female characters and religious symbols such as the cross as a protection icon for the fighter?

We have previously clarified the rulings concerning electronic games, distinguishing between what is permissible (halal) and what is forbidden (haram). Among the factors that render a game forbidden are the presence of symbols of disbelief, such as the cross, or naked images that incite desires. These guidelines can be applied to any game to determine its ruling, thereby eliminating the need for repeated questions about each individual game. If there is doubt about a particular game, it is safer to avoid it, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the lawful is clear, and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters about which many people do not know. So, whoever avoids the doubtful matters has absolved his religion and his honor. And whoever falls into the doubtful matters falls into the unlawful." A Muslim should utilize their time in what benefits them in their religion and worldly life, and beware of wasting time in playing, for they will be held accountable for their time on the Day of Judgment.
