Is it necessary for one who was disobedient to his parents in the past to seek their forgiveness to be absolved of this sin, and what if the father had already forgiven him? And is raising one's voice unintentionally considered disobedience to parents, and is it necessary to seek forgiveness for it despite the father's dislike of apologies?

The repentance of a disobedient child (al-aq) is accepted if he repents by abandoning his disobedience, regrets what has passed, resolves not to return to it, and is forgiven by the parent. Raising one's voice at a parent is an act of disobedience for which the perpetrator incurs sin, unless it was unintentional and he did not persist in it, in which case it is hoped that there is no sin upon him; due to the Almighty's saying: "And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred, but [there is blame for] what your hearts intended." The child must realize the greatness of the parent's status, and if he becomes angry, he should distance himself until he calms down.
