One must refrain from looking at forbidden things, in compliance with the Almighty’s saying: "Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts." One must offer sincere repentance and not return to such abominable acts. The emission of madhy (pre-seminal fluid) or mani (semen) due to looking at night does not invalidate the fast, because the cause occurred before the obligation of fasting. Just as the emission of semen during the day due to intercourse at night does not invalidate the fast, so too its emission due to looking at night does not invalidate it. The emission of madhy during the day does not invalidate the fast, according to the more preponderant opinion. Regarding the emission of mani during the day due to looking, there is a difference of opinion among scholars as to whether it invalidates the fast or not.
