If a woman dies leaving her husband, sons, daughters, and sisters, then the husband receives one-fourth due to the presence of inheriting offspring, and the remainder goes to the children by virtue of residuary inheritance, with the male receiving the share of two females. The sisters receive nothing due to the presence of the children. The matter of inheritances is serious and complex, and a fatwa alone is not sufficient; rather, it should be referred to the Sharia courts for verification and to ensure other rights are accounted for.
