Is it permissible to divorce one's wife if she messaged her sister's husband, flirted with him, sent him an unhijabbed picture of herself, arranged with him to travel to Europe in exchange for financial assistance, and spoke to him with obscene language, while the husband knows that she lies, speaks with strangers, and deals with charlatans, yet he fears confronting her or her family?

If the wife sends immodest pictures of herself and speaks with her sister's husband in a forbidden manner, she is committing a grave offense, and she must safeguard her husband with regard to herself and his property. The husband must confront her, advise her, and remind her of Allah's punishment. If she repents, then praise be to Allah. If she persists, then he should threaten her with informing her guardian; otherwise, he should inform him. If her situation does not improve, divorcing her is recommended, because there is no good in keeping her under his marital bond, due to what it might cause in defiling his honor.
