A husband has no right to his wife's money except with her willing consent. If he permits her to work on the condition that he receives a portion of her salary, this condition is valid, and she is obligated to fulfill it. Forcing a wife to relinquish her deferred mahr (dowry) or to sell her possessions is a forbidden injustice. If a house registered in the wife's name has been fully possessed by her and she has been able to dispose of it, then the husband has no right to revoke his gift. Otherwise, it remains his property. A wife may demand from her husband any money she gave him or spent on him if she intended to reclaim it and was not acting as a donor.
