If the described situation is likely to be caused by magic (sihr), the evil eye (ayn), or jinn possession (mass), then Ruqyah (definition) ash-Shar'iyyah (Islamic exorcism) is the best means of treatment, alongside seeking help from lawful reciters (ruqat shar'iyyin), reciting Surat Al-Baqarah, maintaining regular remembrance (adhkar), observing obligatory duties (fara'id), and avoiding sins. It is not permissible to undo magic with similar magic, and one must not contemplate suicide.
