What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a brother seizing a portion of his sister's salary without her knowledge? Is this money lawful for him? Is it permissible for him to seize her entire salary after her death or marriage?

Funds disbursed from insurance and pensions after the death of parents, if they were deducted from their salaries during their lifetime, are considered an inheritance and must be divided among the heirs. If they are a grant from the disbursing entity, they are to be distributed according to the conditions set by that entity. Whoever takes any portion of these funds unlawfully is sinful, and what they have taken is forbidden to them. In case of dispute, the Sharia (definition) court shall rule.
