How sound is the story of the killing of Asma bint Marwan, and was she killed by the order of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and how do we respond to those who exploit this story to distort the image of Islam and the Prophet?

Allah informed us that Muhammad, peace be upon him, was sent as a mercy to the worlds. He forgave Quraysh and the Jewess who poisoned him. The Messenger never took revenge for himself unless the sacred limits of Allah were violated. As for the news of the killing of Asma bint Marwan, it is false and fabricated, a promotion by liars, as its narrators are liars and abandoned. The Messenger, peace be upon him, used to forbid the killing of women in wars.
