Is a young man's love and praying to marry him considered forbidden, and is this supplication unfitting for Allah Almighty?

Love that arises from leniency in dealing with the opposite gender is forbidden, and its perpetrator is sinful. As for love that occurs without a person's seeking it, such as the heart becoming attached to someone, there is no blame in it if the lover fears Allah and does not commit anything forbidden. Rather, he will be rewarded for striving against his own self. One must be cautious of indulging in thoughts and feelings, as they may lead to undesirable consequences, for passing thoughts turn into actions that are difficult to undo. Excessive attachment of the heart to people can lead to passionate love ('ishq), which is a dangerous malady. There is no harm in wishing to marry someone and supplicating for that, and it is sunnah for those who love each other to marry.
