What are the limits for trimming or plucking wide and thick eyebrows?

Plucking eyebrow hair is considered part of namṣ (plucking) which is forbidden. However, trimming or shaving eyebrow hair was permitted by Imam Ahmad, as it falls outside the scope of the prohibition. This provides a solution for those who are bothered by the length of their eyebrow hair. Nevertheless, it is preferable not to resort to this unless the eyebrow becomes excessively bushy and deviates from the norm, in which case it should be limited to restoring it to its usual size.
