The answer

Fear of Allah is a good thing that drives a person to acts of obedience, but it must be accompanied by hope in His mercy, Glory be to Him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Let none of you die except while he has a good opinion of his Lord," and Allah, the Almighty, said: "I am as My servant thinks of Me, so let him think of Me as he wills." Hope leads to righteous deeds and good reliance, unlike mere wishful thinking which is associated with laziness. When fear, hope, and love for Allah combine, the believer finds the sweetness of faith. Therefore, one must strive to improve their deeds, have a good opinion of Allah, get rid of evil whispers, and seek a righteous environment that helps in obedience.
