Is gathering to read parts of the Holy Quran all at once, then supplicating for a specific purpose – such as success – mentioned in Islamic Sharia?

Gathering to recite and study the Qur’an is a legitimate and great act of worship. Supplicating after the completion of the recitation is also legitimate, but should not be performed consistently with a specific formula. Distributing parts of the Qur’an among attendees for recitation does not count as a complete recitation of the entire Qur’an by each individual. Recitation is not limited to seeking blessings but also includes contemplation, understanding, and earning reward. As for believing that this act has an effect on the acceptance of supplications, there is no evidence for this, and the fundamental principle concerning acts of worship is prohibition unless there is proof.
