The answer

The is for a Muslim to shake hands with his brother upon meeting him. Kissing is forbidden, based on what was narrated from Anas ibn Malik that a man asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "Should I bow to him?" He said: "No." He said: "Should he embrace and kiss him?" He said: "No." He said: "Should he take his hand and shake it?" He said: "Yes." Kissing the mouth, in particular, is deemed objectionable and falls under the aforementioned prohibition.
