No divorce has occurred between the spouses. The husband's statement, "marry another man," is a kinayah (allusion) of divorce, which does not effect a divorce unless there is an intention [to divorce]. If the husband did intend divorce with it, he conditioned it on his wife's disapproval of their relationship. The wife has explicitly stated her admiration and love for her husband, so the condition upon which the divorce was suspended has not been met. The husband's statement, "I will leave you," is merely a promise of divorce. A promise does not effect a divorce, nor is it recommended to fulfill it.
