What is the ruling on working as an accountant in a company that deals with usury, whether the work is in the planning and budgeting department or in the financial administration, without writing down usurious loans?

It is not permissible to work in this company in the accounting department or in preparing plans and budgets, because it is assisting in sin and transgression. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah has cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it to others, the one who writes it down, and the two who witness it." He also said: "They are all equal (in sin)."

And whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Holy Spirit has breathed into my soul that no soul will die until it completes its term and fully receives its provision. So, fear Allah and be moderate in seeking (provision). And let not any of you be delayed in seeking provision by seeking it through disobedience to Allah, for what is with Allah can only be attained through obedience to Him." He also said: "Indeed, you will not abandon anything for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, except that Allah will replace it with something better for you."
